Many people promoting online marketing and business opportunies always throw in the line that you can be your own boss. Now this has some truth in it, but at the same time it is far from the truth.
In the area of having a boss directly over you and telling you what to do, it is true. And that is what most people think when they think of working for themselves.
The other side of it is that now you don't have one boss, but could possibly have hundreds of them.
What do I mean? Your customers. Every one of them wants things to be done for them in the way promised and sometimes even better. The thought that you will not have anybody telling you what they want is the wishful thinking side of the equation.
Those in business for themselves have a boss in every customer and have to treat them like they are. That's why one of the most important things in business is the willingness and humility to serve. You do have to meet a lot of the requirements of your customers.
So when you're thinking about starting online marketing or increasing your existing business, keep in mind that you're also increasing your bosses.
Don't take this as a negative, just a reality check!
