With the entry of Google into the video ad market this week, tons of internet marketers are making it sound like it's the next holy grail of making great wealth on the Internet. Don't believe it!
John Jantsch makes some good points on Duct Tape Marketing when he says that for some it may work ok and for others it will be a total distraction and waste of time.
He ads another good point in that video is simply another form of communication. This getting close to the reality of online marketing. There is no such thing, and will never be something that is "it," in and of itself. All successful online marketers have multiple ways of creating revenue, and altogether they add up to great totals.
It is a comprehensive, multifaceted approach that brings success to the good marketers.
John's closing words on the subject are very appropriate: "Use it wisely, use it well, integrate it with your other marketing tactics, test it and keep an eye on developing ways to employ it. But, don't count on riding the video wave to riches." I wholeheartedly agree.
