48 million Writers

community.jpgPew recently stated that 48 million Americans have posted content on the Internet. Most of them use broadband as their ISP of choice. Between March of 2005 and March of 2006, broadband usage increased by over 40 percent. Those that made between $40,000 and $50,000 grew by 68 percent.

Those who aren't looking at completely revamping their online content strategy around user-generated and participative content, may be placing their entire business survival at risk.

Just about anybody in the media that has a Web site, and many others also, must have at its center the online community concept. This will include the ability to connect, share, and communicate with one another. Not very many are doing this.
