When I was contemplating recently on what the new media and online changes and interruptions have meant, it reminded me of something I read a long time ago concerning amateur sports.
What the writer said was that anybody that learned how to tap into that as a market would be onto one of the biggest goldmines of possibilities, possibly in history. While I don't know about the largeness of it, I do know that he was onto something.
Consider the direction that things are going online today. All the user-generated content and tools to be able to create their own movies and online anything. This is the equivalent of what the writer was relating to in the amateur sporting world. Now everybody is a writer or producer in the creative realm.
Anyone that knows some about writing could create an ebook online and have it distributed easily and with very little obstacles.
What is happening today is that people want to be able to create a work and have others see what they've done.
Now for online marketers and businesses it is those that provide the tools and community that are the winners so far in this market. But don't think that it's already too late to engage and be successul. This is only at the beginning of the change. There are tens of thousands of things you could do to enter this market.
Don't be caught up too much in the new terminology and technology side of things, which can easily distract you, but what is it you can offer the "amateur" writers, creators, movie directors and bloggers that will empower them to do what they want? The answer will bring you your mission and success.
