One of the secrets of online marketers that isn't published or talked about a lot (although I've revealed it before here) is the way they create one blog or Web site for the purpose of sending traffic to another where the money is really made.
Another great example of that is the Web site Greencine, a blog that centers and talks about the independent and alternative cinema scene.
The blog provides all types of unique and interesting posts on things concerning cinema that you don't get a lot of coverage on. The result is that they get around 80,000 visitors a month there which, in turn, drives traffic to their money making site that offers online rental and video-on-demand products.
The blog has been the main driver that has doubled the stores revenues. One is created for getting eyeballs and the other for converting them to customers. The stories surrounding the various subjects creates the desire for viewers to go to the Web site to look for something to buy that interests them.
This is a strategy that I couldn't recommend enough for you to apply to your business. The results are phenomenal.
