An area that needs to be improved upon greatly in the online world is the empowerment of online users. While there have been obvious strides with YouTube and MySpace and a lot of others, the area of simplicity still must be enhanced even more.
There are still too many steps for the average user to take in some areas. Even blog software, which is getting easier to install to start it up, lack a lot in the area of tools to customize the look.
Just like you can load a blog now with a press of a button in some cases, it should be that easy to customize it also. Why should it be so hard for non-technical users to change the look of the blog? With the press of a button we should be able to add a masthead and graphics to the front page and other options that are currently hard for the uninitiated.
This is just with blogs. YouTube is so popular because of this ease of use, and so should any overall site that offers customization as a part of its service.
I don't think we've even begun to touch the possiblities in this area. People that want to do creative things don't want to have to mess with technology, they want to be able to create and put what they create up for the world to see, not be concerned with code or inserting things that involve learning curves.
This is what millions of people are really asking of marketers: Empower me. Let me take what I have and push a button or two and let it be where I want it to be and do what I want it to do. Those that continually provide these tools will be hugely successful.

You have a valid observation there. As a blogger, I want to be able to improve my site without having to contend with codes. As they say, easy does it! On the other hand, it's also fun to be learning html or CSS.
