Virtual learning has been an exploding part of the online success story. Currently, according to IDC, the online learning industry is taking in around $23 billion a year and continues to grow at 35 percent. This also takes in the fact that some large countries haven't even entered into the sector on any large scale, such as India.
Now I'm bringing this up because I think that this is one of those areas that a smaller online marketer could really do well with.
In keeping with the thought of niche marketing, the possibilities are almost endless in what you could offer via elearning; you could just about get into anything that interests someone and create it into a elearning product or service.
One of the new opportunities is the variety of devices you could create these offerings for.
Here's a major thing to keep in mind with this: do it in little chuncks. Don't offer large-scale, hour-long productions, rather offer up shorter, precise, targeted thoughts in the niche you're zeroing in on. I wouldn't go over 7-10 minutes tops as far as length goes.
Get a series of quick, easy to understand, flowing teaching on a subject where it can be taken in, in small bite-size pieces, and I believe that you could really do well. I wouldn't hesitate to enter this arena, I think it has great potential and a huge market that has barely begun to be tapped.
