How to become an Ad Copy Junkie
copi.jpg

One of the things that seem to have become a lost art is the collection of copy from the many various media outlets that you encounter. It wasn’t too many years ago when this was the way to do things. If you can discipline yourself to do this it will help you to reap great benefit in your online campaigns.a

How it used to be done was to have some type of folder that you would have on hand all the time. When you saw ad copy that really caught your eye and attention, you simply cut it out and put it in the folder.a

The simply idea was when you were ready to write some new copy, you would go to the file and look through for ideas and inspiration. Of course with the endless amount of sales copy everywhere today, including on the internet, you can put together an online version of the folder if you prefer.a

One way you could do this would be to put those that you find that move you in some way, into your favorites. If you wanted double surety, you could print out those and put them in a folder so that you have two places for safety sake. This also allows you to get offline and be able to sit without all the “noise” affecting you and relax and go through them.

How do you determine what goes in it?

a

Like I said earlier, if you look at it, and there is something that really grabs you and makes you want to read further, there’s a good chance that it is something that you’ll want to look at some other time.

a

One thing to be warned about is that just because it is something that draws you, doesn’t make it something that will work for you or even that it is actually working for the writer of it.

a

It is there for giving you ideas and inspiration for your products and services, not to copy and mindlessly embrace it as your own.

a

Discover for yourself the benefit of building an ad copy file. Those willing to do this extra step will have an endless supply of ideas to draw from.
