First I want to deal with a myth that a lot of people thinking about making a living online believe. It is that the only ones that are making money online are those who are telling other people how to make money online.

What is the source of this concern? This is another way of saying that online business is a giant Ponzi scheme where eventually the market for the product will evaporate and you will be left holding the bag.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, less than 1% of all online businesses make money from telling others how to make online money. So that part of it you have no fear of. Although I do agree that a lot of wannabees throughout the years simply went to a website and copied the content while changing it a little so that it could be called their own. From there they put up a website and thought this would be successful.

Now years ago, this worked for a little while. The problem comes when your customers start writing you to ask for advice or insight; it is there that the total lack of experience showed up. Most of those failed after a short time. Those days, for the most part, are far behind us.

Your online business needs to be what you want it to be, that is the main thing to keep in mind. It may actually surprise you that in reality, those who are running an online business outside of the ‘teaching’ area, in many cases make far more money than the gurus themselves.

Don’t you that for a reason to not try. In an endless array on niche markets, there is an opportunity waiting for you.
