I want to make sure I’m clear about one thing when talking about affiliate programs and JV partners; this is not a low-level strategy to use only because you are short on time or money. It does help those who are in that position tremendously, but is not the main reason for doing it.
This is THE way to make the greatest growth in visitors and profits that I have been able to find. This is really the way the big guns do it.
From the practical side, it’s not really that difficult to set up an affiliate program any more. You can simply do a search online under “affiliate management solutions” and you will find a large variety of providers of these services. Just don’t look at anything that is difficult to understand or takes a long time to set up. You want to build momentum quickly, so look for something that can be set up in no longer than a couple of day period.
Once you have your program in place, then you can think of how much you want to pay your affiliates. Most marketers agree that it should be no less than 30% as a minimum. The reason is that a lot of others are offering at least that and in a number of cases more. Then, of course, you must post the link on your site that you want your visitors to sign up on and join. Also you need to have ready and available lots of marketing helps like solo emails, sponsor ads and banners etc. You also have to have follow-up strategies in place to continuously help your partners in their labors. The more they are successful the more you will be.
