One of the things about running an internet business, as in all businesses is the discouragement dynamic. I have found in my consulting with people that one of the greatest challenges they have is related to time.

Now, let’s forget for a minute simply the speed of success factor, we’ll get back to that in a minute. Usually what happens is that we are going from one working situation to another. In other words you are probably in a job that you want to get out of and are counting the days till it happens.

That’s always the challenge of starting things from scratch. You have this wonderful vision of what it is you want to accomplish and the benefits you will receive from its success, and yet have to deal with the daily grind of your current situation.

There have been words of wisdom written long ago about serving two masters, basically it says that you can’t do it because you will hate the one and love the other.

In essence that is the hardest thing when pursuing your dreams. But I want to assure you that all of us go through this stage. You are forced to be in a situation that you feel has no relevance to your goals, while the thing your heart wants to pour itself into gets only your leftover time. This is not easy, and never will be.

The major step to take is to make sure that you delegate a certain amount of time per day to your business. This will create a momentum that will carry you ahead in spite of what you feel inside. You will have some of the pressure leave you through the steps that are taken.

Here is the question to ask yourself: “How bad do you really want this?” If you really do want it bad enough, you will find the time and a way to make it happen. Don’t give up!

Don’t focus on short term ups and downs of your business growth, always look at things from a long-term perspective, this will help you to cope with the swings that will always come when pursuing your dreams.
